Requirements

Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
+1 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the plastic industry.
Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to other departments to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

Ensure Compliance to applicable Food Packaging Standard(s).
Leads by example and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Understands and follows departmental rules and regulations including, but not limited to, QC telephones, two-way radios, quality equipment and security of the QC lab.
Retrieve and review the Product Specification Sheet for each run.
Identifies/adhere to the visual attributes of product as described in the General Thermoforming Standard.
Evaluate and assign specific part specifications.
Perform in process inspection and data entry into the data collection system.
Ability to read and understand control charts.
Ability to accurately use measuring instruments.
Ability to identify nonconforming product and successfully communicate problems to production.
Obtain disposition for held/nonconforming product.
Perform cold storage, product retention and other functional testing.
Provide thorough inspecting, approving, and documenting 1st piece parts upon startup after changeovers.
Accurately complete all QC paperwork.
Verifies box labels are accurate.
Follow up on previous quality problems to prevent re-occurrence.
Maintain awareness of past customer complaints.
Verifies the correct raw material is being used as specified on the Product Specification Sheet and document changes.
Other duties as assigned.
