Requirements

  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • +1 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the plastic industry.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide support to other departments to meet production goals.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Compliance to applicable Food Packaging Standard(s).
  • Leads by example and follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Understands and follows departmental rules and regulations including, but not limited to, QC telephones, two-way radios, quality equipment and security of the QC lab.
  • Retrieve and review the Product Specification Sheet for each run.
  • Identifies/adhere to the visual attributes of product as described in the General Thermoforming Standard.
  • Evaluate and assign specific part specifications.
  • Perform in process inspection and data entry into the data collection system.
  • Ability to read and understand control charts.
  • Ability to accurately use measuring instruments.
  • Ability to identify nonconforming product and successfully communicate problems to production.
  • Obtain disposition for held/nonconforming product.
  • Perform cold storage, product retention and other functional testing.
  • Provide thorough inspecting, approving, and documenting 1st piece parts upon startup after changeovers.
  • Accurately complete all QC paperwork.
  • Verifies box labels are accurate.
  • Follow up on previous quality problems to prevent re-occurrence.
  • Maintain awareness of past customer complaints.
  • Verifies the correct raw material is being used as specified on the Product Specification Sheet and document changes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
