QC Inspector
About The Position
PRIMARY FUNCTION Inspect manufactured parts for dimensional and visual quality using a go-no-go gauge or plug gauges TYPICAL DUTIES Assist group leader and class "A" or "B" inspectors with their daily duties Observe and learn proper use of gauges Clean and maintain tools and work area Documentation of serviceable or unserviceable products Inspect simple jobs unassisted, highly repetitive inspection following standardized procedures Visually inspect or checks parts using direct reading instruments GENERAL Must have basic knowledge of blueprint reading Parts are warm and oily Instructed by chief inspector in regards to identifying acceptable quality Must have good arithmetic ability, and good working knowledge of decimals and fractions
