About The Position

The QC Inspector must be familiar will all quality-related phases of pipeline construction as they will be primarily responsible for inspecting pipeline installation, verifying, and documenting that installations meet appropriate ASME, API, AWS codes and owner specifications. This is for the new construction of pipelines to support the development of pipeline projects for ConocoPhillips. There are multiple QC Inspector positions available; 4 QC Inspectors w/CWI and 1 Inspector w/NACE required for this project. This is a SEASONAL, BENEFITS ELIGIBLE position expected to start February 2026 and be completed in April 2026

Requirements

  • A CWI welding inspection certification is required.
  • A NACE 2 certification for liquid/two-part or FBE coating inspection is required.
  • The ability to work 84 hours a week on a 6x1 rotation is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting inspections in production fields, pipelines, or facility work in the Oil and Gas industry, and/or on the North Slope is required.
  • Knowledge of pipe welding, structural welding and erection, coatings, civil and documentation requirements are required.
  • The ability to read and understand project specifications, codes, industry standards, project drawings, and other related documents in a clear and concise manner is required.
  • Strong familiarity with the ConocoPhillips and AES-HCC Safety Philosophies and striving for an Incident Free Culture is required.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • Driver License required.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) or more years of experience working as a QC Inspector in the Oil and Gas industry and/or on the North Slope is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and verify pipeline installation to ensure ASME, API, AWS codes and Owner specifications are met.
  • Tracking piping Joint and Heat numbers.
  • VSM/HSM Bolting and Setting.
  • VSM Slurry.
  • Pipe saddle installation.
  • Welding inspection of Structural components.
  • Welding inspection of Pipeline welds.
  • Welding inspection of Repair welds.
  • Submittal of information for NDE requests.
  • TVA installation.
  • Coating and Insulation inspection.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all installations; all reports are computer based, and the QC Inspector will be responsible for providing their own laptop.
  • Interpret isometric drawings, plan drawings, P&IDs, and Owner specifications.
  • Work with the Owner QA to ensure Owner expectations are being met.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operation.
