About The Position
The QC Inspector position at QEMS INC is a full-time role located at 200 Interconnect Drive, Rock Hill, SC. This position is classified as non-exempt and falls under the Quality Control department. The QC Inspector is responsible for maintaining the highest standards of quality workmanship, safety, and housekeeping in the production environment. The role requires adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as compliance with ISO standards and work instructions. The inspector will be tasked with identifying problems related to product quality and production discrepancies, making IPC acceptability decisions during inspections, and ensuring that all work performed meets the required specifications. The ideal candidate must have experience with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) and Through Hole (TH) electronic components. They should be computer literate and certified in IPC-A-610 (Classes II and III) and IPC-A-600 specifications as they relate to PCB and assembly manufacturing. Essential duties include recording and collecting specific data and metrics to identify issues and define necessary corrective actions to ensure the production of quality products. The QC Inspector must also maintain a neat appearance in their work area and be accountable for the quality and quantity of their work. Safe work habits are essential, and any unsafe conditions must be reported to a supervisor. Candidates should possess strong verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities. The role requires the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitive tasks with minimal supervision. Teamwork and collaboration skills are crucial, as is the flexibility to work overtime on weekends and holidays as needed. Punctuality and a good attendance record are also important for this position.
