About The Position

Inspectors are key personnel in the Accurus Quality Department, and their duties are integral to our overall quality management system and customer satisfaction. These employees perform inspections on newly received goods and work-in-process, and are responsible for final inspections of machined aerospace parts and assemblies to ensure compliance with engineering requirements and work instructions. Inspectors are required to document specific information regarding approvals and non-conforming parts and may be involved in problem-solving to identify rework requirements. Additionally, inspectors may provide quality and/or manufacturing process training for manufacturing personnel. CMM inspectors typically use a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) to probe movement along multiple axes and may also use traditional precision measurement tools (mics, calipers, gauges, etc.).

Requirements

  • A high School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in inspection for machined parts and/or assemblies is required; aerospace industry experience is preferred. A combination of related experience in manufacturing for aerospace and internal training for inspectors may be considered in place of inspection experience
