Interprets procedures, specifications, and drawings to determine if product meets standards. Uses calipers, dial indicators, micrometers, thickness gauges, surf testers, radius gauges, and height gauges to determine if product meets standards. Inspects and approves incoming materials by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials. Inspects in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to QC Lead or production supervisor. Approves finished products by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, returning products for re-work, and confirming re-work. Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database to create required documentation. Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements and calling for repairs. Notify QC Lead or quality management of trending nonconformances / rework issues. Provide on the job training to new employees as needed. Follow all safety and health policies and procedures issued by the company. Other duties as assigned. Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
