About The Position
The job of the 'Chemist' is simply described as an individual contributor who performs testing of samples of various types using various techniques or equipment in the QC laboratory. The job itself may be further modified with respect to the department, group, etc., as exemplified in the 'Department' on an individual assigned basis to a sometimes-specific testing group. The role may be further modified based upon individual education, training, experience or a combination of all three. Generally, modifier designation with respect to experience for Chemist are as follows. However, a combination of education, training, and special skills will determine the assignment of Level to a specific individual. The scope (content and statements) of this job description is designed to describe the general nature and level of work as well as provide a basic understanding of the role, responsibilities, and expectations of the person assigned to perform the job.
