About the position

The QC Chemist - 2nd shift position involves performing quality control testing of finished products and raw materials in a laboratory setting. The role requires adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory guidelines, as well as effective communication within the team and other departments. The position also includes training new personnel and maintaining a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing of finished products and raw materials per SOPs and methods.
  • Operate and train on various lab instruments (e.g., HPLC, GC, FTIR).
  • Stay updated with USP, FDA, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Assist in resolving Out of Specification (OOS) results.
  • Train new lab personnel and document training.
  • Follow cGMP documentation guidelines.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and ensure equipment calibration.
  • Complete assigned projects and other duties as needed.
  • Communicate effectively within the team and other departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in Chemistry or related discipline.
  • 1-5 years of laboratory experience in a cGMP environment.
  • Gas Chromatography (GC) and/or Liquid Chromatography (LC) experience and familiarity.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in the Pharmaceutical and/or Nutraceutical industry.
  • Experience with Empower software.
