The Senior QAD ERP Developer-Analyst will play a pivotal role in the migration of legacy MS Dynamics ERP systems to QAD EE on a Progress Database and Linux servers. This position requires a hands-on approach to data migration, application design, development, testing, and integration. The successful candidate will work independently, driving their own tasks and deliverables while documenting designs and solutions effectively. The role demands a deep understanding of manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution processes to ensure that the QAD ERP system aligns with these business functions. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing data migration strategies to transition data from MS Dynamics or other ERP systems to QAD EE. This includes executing data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes while ensuring data accuracy and integrity. You will also address and resolve any data-related issues that arise during the migration process. The position involves designing and developing custom solutions within QAD EE tailored to the specific needs of the business. You will configure and optimize QAD EE modules and applications to function seamlessly within a Progress Database and Linux environment, writing and maintaining code to enhance QAD EE functionality. Rigorous testing and quality assurance will be a critical part of your responsibilities, where you will develop comprehensive test plans to validate the accuracy and functionality of migrated data and custom applications. Additionally, you will implement and manage EDI processes to facilitate smooth electronic data interchange between QAD EE and other external systems. This includes developing and configuring integrations with various enterprise systems such as CRM, SCM, and WMS to ensure seamless data flow. Your expertise in manufacturing, supply chain, and distribution processes will be essential in providing recommendations for system and process improvements based on industry best practices. Documentation and training are also key components of this role. You will create and maintain detailed documentation for data migration processes, application designs, system configurations, and EDI processes. Furthermore, you will conduct training sessions for end-users and IT staff on the functionalities of QAD EE and best practices. Post-migration, you will provide ongoing support and maintenance for the QAD EE system, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to QAD EE, Progress Database, and Linux environments.
