About The Position

EKN Engineering is a fast-growing civil engineering and technology consulting company located in Irvine, CA. We are looking for a QA Tester to support our Technology and Development team. The QA Tester must work well in a cutting-edge, technology-driven environment. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing and implementing systematic test plans. You will collaborate with Software Developers to determine project scope and requirements. Success in this role will be demonstrated by providing quality work output, screening for various errors, and refining usability throughout the software development and implementation process.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Over.vu (especially if you've assisted with project onboarding and configuration)
• Positive and open-minded attitude
• High attention to detail
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

• Computer Science degree
• Basic understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology and software development life cycles
• Familiar with JIRA
• API testing experience (Swagger, Postman)

Responsibilities

• Write and execute manual test cases to validate new features and bug fixes
• Perform regular regression tests to ensure previous functionality remains unaffected by new changes
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product and Development teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria, provide context for issue replication and troubleshooting, and ensure timely resolution.
• Identify, triage (replicate and troubleshoot), and report issues and defects found
• Conduct all levels of testing through our defined processes, environments and applications (web, mobile)
• Review test procedures and develop test scripts
• Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development cycle
