Nationwide IT Services, NIS, is seeking a QA Test Engineer for the following potential opportunity: Analyze requirements, user stories, ICDs, and acceptance criteria; translate them into comprehensive test plans and test cases. Define test strategies covering functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, performance, accessibility (as required), and security validation support. Develop test estimates, schedules, entry/exit criteria, and risk-based test approaches aligned to release milestones. Maintain traceability from requirements to test cases to defects to final verification (RTM/trace matrices). Execute manual tests across UI, backend services, and integrations in multiple environments (dev/test/stage/prod-like). Validate API behavior (REST/SOAP as applicable) including authentication, authorization, input validation, error handling, and contract compliance. Design and implement automated regression suites for UI and API layers using program-approved frameworks (e.g., Selenium/Playwright/Cypress for UI; Postman/Newman/RestAssured for APIs). Build maintainable automation: reusable components, page objects, test data management, tagging, and reporting. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (smoke tests, gated builds, nightly runs) in partnership with DevSecOps. Monitor automation outcomes; triage failures, reduce flakiness, and continuously improve coverage. Produce and maintain test documentation: test plans, procedures, test reports, RTM, automation runbooks, and release notes inputs. Primary Objectives: Assist in the Discovery Phase activities of gathering user requirements, business analysis, legacy system analysis, Epic/Story creation, external data integration planning, and product backlog management.
