The QA Technician position at Mauser Packaging Solutions involves ensuring quality standards are met through various audits and inspections. The role requires supervision of quality auditors, performing product and process audits, maintaining audit records, and generating Non-Conformity Reports for any non-conforming products. The technician will also support production in quality criteria, perform GR&R, and assist in the implementation of process improvements.   • Support in the supervision of quality auditors (both in product and process audits)
  • Ensure Product Audits are performed
  • Ensure Process Audits are performed
  • Keep audit records according to inspection plans
  • Generate Non-Conformity Reports for non-conforming products
  • Release products that meet inspection requirements
  • Report on audit findings in cases of non-conformities
  • Provide production support in quality criteria
  • Perform GR&R
  • Support for receiving and shipments (dock audits)
  • Support in the implementation of process improvements
  • Follow up on instructions defined by the Quality Supervisor and Quality Engineer
  • Ensure inspection tests and performance testing are performed
  • Lead in containment process
  • Support in interpretation of plans to auditors
  • Work collectively to solve problems
  • Ensure record retention compliance
  • Verify production test equipment is performing within accepted parameters
  • Advise production when inspection results do not meet customer specifications
  • Perform recording, filing duties, HFI, and related duties as required
  • Communicate pertinent information to the next shift and supervisors
  • Comply with requirements of ISO 9001 as it applies to the function of the position
  • Perform sorting and inspection of materials or products as requested
  • Perform individual assignments as directed by management
  • Management of computer packages (Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Knowledge in the use of measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges)
  • Basic knowledge of quality processes and criteria
  • Basic knowledge of SPC
  • Basic knowledge of control plans
  • Knowledge of drawings interpretation
  • Basic ISO 9001 knowledge
  • Basic knowledge in testing concepts, tools, and methodologies
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints (product drawings)
  • Ability to recognize quality defects and determine next steps
  • Experience in quality assurance or related field
  • Familiarity with quality defect containment activities and countermeasures
  • Ability to create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operation practices
