About The Position
The Quality Technician is responsible for inspection and testing of the product and ensuring product quality. The Quality Technician will work with a variety of inspection and test equipment. This position requires adherence to process specifications and documentation to ensure product conformity, process compliance, and product traceability are maintained. The Quality Technician will also assist in ensuring nonconforming material is properly identified, contained, and dispositioned.
Requirements
- Strong work ethic
- Advanced blueprint reading skills and good knowledge of GD&T
- Basic shop math skills
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Familiarity with CMM/ Vision/ precision measuring tools
- Attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Monitor production processing through quality and process audits
- Conduct necessary inspection using proper equipment and techniques
- Maintain the calibration system
- Assist in Root Cause Corrective Action investigation
- Conduct statistical analysis and report findings
- Maintain accurate documentation of quality inspection results, including FAI
- Ensure production inspectors are following the proper procedure
- Assist with the training of inspection personnel
- Perform periodic QMS audits
- Provide management with detailed quality reports as required
