About the position

The QA Technician will assist with USDA/FDA requirements, paperwork, and floor walkthroughs. The role involves conducting pre-operational inspections and in-process checks, reviewing paperwork to ensure GMP compliance, and supporting new product development through testing and documentation. The technician will ensure recipe/product specification compliance, contribute to food safety and quality goal programs, and maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and food safety standards. Additionally, the technician will handle customer complaints and product recalls, oversee weekly product testing and environmental assessments, and review and report on plant quality performance. The role also includes developing and implementing safety programs to minimize employee exposure risks, serving as the safety committee coordinator, organizing and facilitating safety training sessions, investigating accidents, and performing job safety analyses. Training in quality, food safety, and food manager certification will also be facilitated.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (required); Associate or Bachelor's degree in Science, Microbiology, Biology, Food Science, or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility, preferably in a USDA facility.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desirable.
