Now is your chance to join our talented team that delivers a differentiated menu and experience to guests across the U.S. We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical QA Systems Analyst to join our Technology team. This role supports the quality, stability, and reliability of BJ’s restaurant technology, data platforms, and internal systems. In addition to performing traditional software quality assurance activities, this role acts as a key escalation point from Technology Support for complex or recurring issues. The QA Systems Analyst works cross-functionally with Development, Data, and Technology stakeholders to investigate issues, validate system behavior, and support the documentation of findings, system behaviors, and root-cause analysis in a clear, consistent, and reusable manner to enable long-term improvements across systems. This role is well-suited for someone with solid QA or technical support experience who values clear documentation and knowledge sharing, and who is looking to deepen their system-level understanding while growing into broader technical ownership.

Requirements

  • 2 Years+ Experience in software quality assurance, systems analysis, technical support escalation, or a related technical role
  • Experience testing applications, data-driven systems, or integrated platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate complex issues
  • Experience working with ticketing systems, defect tracking tools, and documentation workflows
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with Development, Data, and Technology teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple investigations and priorities simultaneously
  • Comfort working in environments with ambiguity and evolving requirements
  • Experience with SQL, data validation, or system integrations

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with restaurant technology, POS systems, or operational systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Perform software quality assurance activities including test planning, test execution, regression testing, and release validation
  • Validate system functionality, integrations, and data accuracy across restaurant technology and internal platforms
  • Serve as an escalation point from Technology Support for issues requiring deeper investigation or cross-system analysis
  • Triage, research, and analyze recurring or systemic issues to identify patterns and potential root causes
  • Document defects, system behaviors, known issues, and investigation findings in a clear and reusable manner
  • Partner with Development and Data teams to reproduce issues, isolate failure points, and validate fixes
  • Support post-release monitoring and production issue follow-up
  • Analyze logs, data outputs, and workflows to aid troubleshooting and issue resolution
  • Collaborate with Technology stakeholders to translate issues into actionable technical requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, documentation standards, and issue triage practices
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to reduce recurring incidents and improve system reliability
