About The Position

POSITION SUMMARY: This position will lead Food Safety and Quality programs at the Sensient Flavor facility, Amboy IL. This includes leading implementation and on-going program management/oversight of Safe Quality Foods (SQF) Certification, compliance with Sensient Flavor’s Quality Assurance / Food Safety requirements and other related initiatives.

Ability to identify gaps, nonconformities, and issues within the plant, programs, and SOPs related to Food Safety and Quality.
Ability to help create solutions and improvements (Think Proactively)
Ability to adapt easily and to shift priorities
Communication and interpersonal skills, that will benefit the collaboration between Quality Assurance and our external/internal customers

Responsibilities

Being the Primary SQF Practitioner at the Amboy site
Audit the Amboy site programs and SOPs per and against the SQF Code on an annual basis (Quality systems review for Food Safety & Quality Pre-requisite Programs)
Lead and manage programs (ex: Pest Control, NCR, Internal Audit Program, HACCP & Food Safety Plan Reviews)
Deliver Quality Training (Orientation & Plant)
Document Control/Requests
Manage and maintain the Document Control System
Assist in internal and external customer requests for documentation
Perform risk assessments on commercialization’s Label creation
Host customer, certification, and regulatory audits
Lead and assist in management of certification programs (ex: SQF, Kosher, Halal, Organic, RSPO, RFA)
