About The Position

The QA/QC Project Apprentice plays a key hands-on role in ensuring each project meets stringent quality, safety, and performance standards. In this position, you directly support project success by executing quality assurance and control activities from initial planning through project completion. You will independently review specifications, participate in inspections and testing, document findings, and proactively identify issues that could impact compliance or system functionality. This role requires strong attention to detail, consistent field and office coordination, and the ability to anticipate quality needs before they affect project outcomes. Your work ensures that every installation aligns with design intent, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience on commercial mechanical or plumbing construction projects including healthcare, medical gas, educational, institutional, military and others required.
  • Experienced with project Testing, Balancing, and Commissioning Teams.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Required aptitude on construction
  • Have a positive attitude, be professional and self-motivated
  • Ability to work as both an individual contributor and a team player

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with startup of projects ranging in size and scope from $10M+ preferred.
  • Associates Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and understand project specifications and client requirements.
  • Participate in inspections and testing processes to meet compliance and standards.
  • Gathers quality data for projects and facilities, communicating between the office and field to address any quality issues.
  • Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and implement changes to enhance project outcomes.
  • Oversee and coordinate daily quality inspection and testing activities.
  • Manage documentation related to QA/QC processes.
  • Conduct and report on regular quality audits.
  • Works closely with Quality and CX representatives and Test Balance Agents to ensure work is installed and function properly as designed.
  • Identify issues in quality compliance and improve best practices.
