Requirements

  • B.S./M.S. in Civil/Mechanical Engineering required
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in heavy construction industry required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality assurance / quality control (QA/QC) position
  • Ability to read and clearly understand the contract drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong motivation to effectively perform the job duties

Nice To Haves

  • Quality-related certifications such as ASQ, ISO 9001 Lead Quality Auditor, or equivalent preferred
  • Experience working on projects for large agencies such as Amtrak, MBTA, MTA, Massport, etc.
  • Availability to accommodate multi-shift and weekend work schedule if needed

Responsibilities

  • Conduct internal Quality audits and subcontractor/supplier evaluations
  • Manage the third-party inspection and testing agencies
  • Verify that all subcontractor/supplier work meets requirements of the contract specifications
  • Effectively communicate and resolve Quality-related matters
  • Implement the Quality Management System and project-specific Quality Plans
  • Self-perform some inspections and testing in the field
