About The Position

The Electrical QA/QC Manager is responsible for leading and implementing the comprehensive Quality Assurance and Quality Control program for all electrical scope on large-scale hyperscale data center construction projects. This role ensures that electrical installations, testing, and commissioning meet or exceed contractual requirements, project specifications, industry codes (including NEC, NFPA 70, IEEE, and relevant IEC standards), owner standards (e.g., hyperscale clients like Meta, Google, Microsoft, Amazon), and the highest levels of reliability for mission-critical infrastructure. You will proactively drive "right the first time" installation, coordinate inspections, manage nonconformances, and support seamless turnover to commissioning and operations on multi-megawatt, high-density facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred); equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 7+ years of progressive QA/QC experience in electrical construction, with at least 3–5 years focused on mission-critical facilities (hyperscale data centers strongly preferred).
  • Proven track record on large-scale electrical projects ($50M+), preferably hyperscale or colocation data centers.
  • In-depth knowledge of NEC (NFPA 70), IEEE standards, grounding/bonding, arc flash, and relevant electrical codes/standards; familiarity with IEC guidelines is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of critical electrical systems in data centers: MV/LV switchgear, generators, UPS, redundancy (N+1, 2N), busway, and power distribution.
  • Experience with commissioning processes and turnover documentation in mission-critical environments.
  • Proficiency in construction management/QA software (Procore, Bluebeam, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to zero-defect delivery in high-reliability environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, high-stakes construction setting.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to influence subcontractors and teams toward quality excellence.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications such as: ASQ Certified Quality Manager / Auditor
  • NETA (Electrical Testing)
  • NICET (Electrical Power Testing)
  • ICC, CQM-C, or similar quality/construction certifications
  • OSHA 30-Hour
  • Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher
  • Experience with hyperscale owner standards and fast-track delivery schedules
  • Familiarity with modular/prefab electrical construction approaches

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific Electrical QA/QC plans, procedures, and inspection/test plans aligned with contract documents, NEC compliance, and hyperscale owner requirements.
  • Lead and perform detailed inspections of electrical systems, including but not limited to: switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS systems, PDUs, busway, VFDs, low-voltage distribution, grounding/bonding, and emergency power systems.
  • Conduct preparatory meetings, first-article/first-of-kind inspections, in-process surveillance, and final acceptance inspections to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Manage and document all QA/QC activities using industry-standard software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, BIM 360, or similar platforms).
  • Identify, track, and resolve nonconformances, quality deficiencies, and corrective actions; drive root-cause analysis and preventive measures.
  • Coordinate closely with electrical superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, engineers, commissioning agents, and the owner’s team to ensure integration of systems and timely resolution of issues.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), arc flash requirements, and electrical codes during inspections and testing.
  • Support commissioning activities by verifying pre-functional and functional testing of electrical systems.
  • Mentor and supervise QA/QC inspectors/technicians; provide training on electrical quality standards and best practices.
  • Prepare detailed reports, quality metrics, and turnover documentation for handover to the client/operations team.
  • Drive continuous improvement in quality processes to support hyperscale delivery speed while maintaining zero-compromise on reliability.

Benefits

  • Opportunity to work on high-impact projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Work a guaranteed 50 hours per week (10 of those hours are OT)
