  • Management of construction field activity.
  • Accountable for securing safe work permits for contractors and ensuring compliance with required permits.
  • Daily management of contractor field resources.
  • Working with the site Construction Manager to manage work priority to ensure commissioning milestones are met.
  • Weekly meetings with project stakeholders to share construction progress.
  • Troubleshooting concerns as they arise in the field.
  • QA/QC document generation and management.
  • Coordinating inspections and conducting quality checks throughout the construction process.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety and health regulations, as well as compliance with building codes and standards.
  • Monitoring project documentation and ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborating with project managers and engineers to address quality issues.
  • Reviewing and commenting on construction contractor closeout packages.
  • Acting as owner representative and advising GE Aerospace Project Teams during review of contractor QA/QC documents.
  • Cataloging and filing appropriate QA/QC documents for future reference.
  • Recommending QA/QC best practices to contractors and GE personnel.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.
  • Knowledge and application of company business standards and good practices.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the function of all engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction processes.
  • Ability to manage client relationships in complex situations.
  • Ability to relate easily to others in the business community.
  • Ability to handle stress with poise.
  • Understanding of existing and potential customer needs and preferences.
  • Ability to clearly communicate expectations and requirements to team members.
  • Ability to set priorities.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
