We're partnering with a respected, mid-sized general contractor known for delivering award-winning commercial construction projects across Central Ohio. With deep local roots and a reputation for quality, this firm is growing and adding a dedicated QA/QC Engineer to its team. This role is perfect for someone who lives and breathes field execution, but also thrives in the details. You'll act as the quality conscience across one or more jobsites, supporting teams in the field and reinforcing high standards throughout the build lifecycle. Depending on project needs, the role may be based at one flagship site or rotate between active projects.

  • Develop and implement site-specific Quality Control Plans
  • Lead proactive QA/QC practices: pre-installation meetings, material verifications, mockups, benchmarks, and more
  • Conduct field inspections and generate punch lists, working closely with Superintendents and PMs
  • Review submittals, track compliance, and manage field test documentation
  • Maintain clear and accurate quality records using digital tools (Autodesk Construction Cloud, etc.)
  • Track and manage non-conformance items, including resolution and closeout
  • Deliver timely reports and summaries for internal leadership and client teams
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and 3rd-party inspectors
  • Support the field team in resolving quality issues before they escalate
  • Help onboard and train field staff and partners on QA/QC expectations and best practices
  • Identify recurring quality issues and recommend changes to prevent rework
  • Contribute to closeout reviews and internal lessons-learned sessions
  • 3+ years of QA/QC experience in commercial construction (preferably with a GC or CM firm)
  • Solid working knowledge of building codes, testing standards, and field execution
  • Experience with tools like Autodesk Construction Cloud, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, or similar
  • Strong organizational skills and a knack for finding issues before they become problems
  • OSHA 30 and other relevant certifications (CQM, LEED, etc.) are a strong plus
  • Bonus if you bring envelope expertise (e.g., BESI, NEBB certifications)
  • Competitive base + strong benefits package
