Koch Specialty Plant Services, LLC is seeking QA/QC Coordinators to support various client sites across the U.S. for the upcoming Spring Season of 2024. These positions are project-based and will involve travel, with compensation for travel expenses and per diem provided. The QA/QC Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring quality control on KSPS projects, which include a wide range of services in the refining and petrochemical industries. With over 40 years of experience, Koch Specialty Plant Services specializes in turnaround and specialty services, including expert code welding, repair, revamp, replacement, and field fabrication of various equipment such as towers, vessels, and piping. The role requires close collaboration with engineering teams, clients, and third-party inspectors to ensure compliance with industry standards and codes. The responsibilities of the QA/QC Coordinator will include the development and execution of field inspection plans, material receiving and inspection, oversight of third-party non-destructive examination (NDE), and monitoring field welds to ensure they conform to applicable codes. The position demands a proactive approach to quality assurance and the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders, including engineering teams and authorized inspectors. The physical demands of the job are significant, requiring the ability to work long hours, including shifts that may extend up to twelve hours a day, seven days a week, and the capability to work in confined spaces and at heights while wearing personal protective equipment. Additionally, the role may require passing medical examinations and fit testing for respiratory protection.
