QA/QC Coordinator
About The Position
Reporting directly to the Director of Network Services, this role offers a unique opportunity to join a high-performing, collaborative team during a pivotal stage of our growth. As an integral member of the Network Services department, you will gain hands-on experience and play a key role in the continued expansion of GRC’s infrastructure and service footprint. The Role: Utility Locating & Quality Control We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage Utility Locating and Quality Control (QC) operations. This position is critical to ensuring the safety, accuracy, and integrity of our physical network.
Requirements
- Experience with locating systems.
- Strong computer skills.
- Experience in data management.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. The terrain is hilly, winding, and uneven.
- Valid driver’s license

- Understanding basic utility construction processes and terminology is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Ensure safe and quality construction practices are being met by our internal and subcontract crews.
- You will be in the field working 90% of your day.
- Field verifies all construction progress as the work is completed.
- Field verification entails using a utility locator to identify depth and offsets of all newly placed conduits, vaults, etc.
- Collect pictures, bore logs, and other data from crews to support customer Quality Control requirements.
- Learn and apply all quality metrics to ongoing and completed work to ensure that finished construction products meet customer, municipality, and environmental specifications and requirements.
- Some night and after-hours work depending on emergency locates and project needs.
