About The Position

As a Civil/Structural Inspector at Worley, you will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity, quality, and compliance of materials and construction practices on our projects. Requirements

  • Completion of technical school or an equivalent blend of education, training, and hands-on experience in civil or structural inspection, engineering, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in quality control within the energy, chemicals, or infrastructure sectors, with a comprehensive understanding of applicable regulatory codes and industry standards.
  • Proficient in the use of quality inspection tools, digital reporting platforms, and project documentation systems.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to make informed decisions and problem-solve in a dynamic project environment.
  • Comfortable working independently while also contributing effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to engage with a diverse range of technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment and mutual understanding.
  • Understanding of project systems, processes, and tools necessary to deliver consistent quality outcomes aligned with Worley's sustainability and safety commitments.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and a proactive mindset, with the willingness to support and lead others to improve overall team performance.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of civil and structural materials and workmanship to ensure full compliance with engineering specifications, applicable industry codes, and quality standards throughout all project phases.
  • Collaborate with senior quality professionals to solve complex challenges, supporting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement aligned with Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world.
  • Apply sound judgment in organizing and prioritizing inspection activities, ensuring alignment with company policies, client expectations, and project goals.
  • Monitor work execution for adherence to design and quality standards, actively contributing to the safe and successful delivery of infrastructure and energy projects.
  • Review documentation, verify test results, and support reporting processes that maintain transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Engage in structured learning and development opportunities to deepen knowledge of quality standards, inspection methodologies, and sustainability-related best practices.
  • Provide mentorship and informal guidance to peers when appropriate, contributing to a collaborative and knowledgeable project team environment.
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, presenting findings clearly and constructively while supporting cross-functional collaboration.
  • Utilize inspection tools and digital systems proficiently to ensure accurate data collection, compliance tracking, and continuous quality assurance.
