This is a full-time on-site position located in Toppenish, WA. Requirements

  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively
  • Ability to effectively manage, motivate, and train employees
  • Proficient math skills
  • Able to detect minute visual differences (color, etc.)
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines
  • Ability to be detail orientated
  • Understand and use basic office equipment and programs
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • HACCP trained and certified
  • 2-5 years of experience in quality and safe food production or related field
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; bilingual in Spanish preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field preferred
  • SQF Certification preferred.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, audit, maintain, and monitor all site programs, procedures, practices, and policies that ensure safe practices, SQF (Safe Quality Food) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
  • Train production employees on SQF, Quality, Compliance, and GMP standards
  • Ensure accurate record keeping related to local, state, federal, and SQF requirements
  • Manage Red Tag (Hold and Release) Program
  • Manage Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) plans, Sanitation, Chemical Control Programs
  • Cross-train and collaborate with Woodland SQF Practitioner to ensure consistency between the plants
  • Oversight of food safety validation and verification for site's Product Development and Realization Program
  • Job Approval and quality checks during production, as required by SOP and customer requirements
