As a key member of the Quality Team, the Quality Manager at Gemtron Corporation will be responsible for leading the execution and deployment of the organization’s Strategic Quality Plan in collaboration with plant leadership. The role serves as the Management Representative for the Quality Management System. This position involves managing quality resources to ensure continuous flow of quality products aligned with internal standards, industry best practices, regulations, and customer requirements. The Quality Manager provides comprehensive quality leadership to customers, suppliers, and all internal stakeholders. The Role: Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Managing the quality/customer interface to proactively ensure requirements are understood, met, and exceeded. Overseeing the problem resolution process for internal and customer-identified issues, including ensuring timely closure using standard reporting tools (e.g., 8D or customer-specific reports). Monitoring Customer Scorecard performance and engaging relevant departments in root cause analysis and corrective actions when requirements are not met. Managing the Plant Quality Department, which includes: Daily operations Budget management Resource allocation Employee assessment and development Supplier management Leading the implementation, verification, and continuous improvement of applicable Quality Management Systems (QMS), providing leadership and support in new product launches, process development, including leading Plant APQP activities and Customer and Supplier PPAP. Overseeing or participating in internal quality audits and ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards such as ISO 9001. Monitoring production part approval (PPAP) documentation to ensure that customer specifications are satisfied in new or modified products and processes. Analyzing organizational quality metrics, conducting managerial reviews, and developing action plans to address gaps. Participating in product development and launch activities, including identifying customer expectations, manufacturing considerations, and ongoing production testing. Approving process-related quality documentation, including Control Plans, Standard Work Instructions, and deviations. Validating laboratory testing and verification activities for products and processes. Confirming daily production startup verification, including Poka-Yoke checks. Initiating and authorizing product containment activities, including: Publishing and securing approval of Standard Work Instructions with trained containment personnel Ensuring gaging and measurement tools are in place and verified via MSA Conducting Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) verification for measuring devices used in production Empowered to stop processes or product deliveries if non-conformance, safety, or environmental risks are identified. Maintaining ongoing professional development and staying current with quality management best practices.
