About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled QA Manager/Supervisor to lead and oversee our plant Quality Management System (QMS) for suspension arm and air spring products. This role ensures full compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements, driving continuous improvement in product quality, process reliability, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical preferred) or related technical field.
  • Extensive knowledge of IATF 16949, APQP, PPAP, Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • Proven leadership experience managing QA engineers or quality teams in an automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with expertise in root cause analysis (8D, 5Why, Fishbone, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with customers and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree or professional certification in quality management (e.g., CQE, CQA, Six Sigma).
  • Experience with customer and third-party audits in the automotive sector.
  • Familiarity with suspension and air spring manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency with quality management software and data analysis tools.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the plant QMS in compliance with IATF 16949 and customer-specific requirements.
  • Manage quality assurance activities for suspension arm and air spring product lines, ensuring adherence to industry standards and customer expectations.
  • Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), including PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, and PPAP approvals.
  • Plan and conduct internal, customer, and third-party audits; track and close findings while driving system improvements.
  • Facilitate structured problem-solving for customer complaints and internal non-conformances using 8D, 5Why, and Fishbone methodologies.
  • Monitor and analyze key quality metrics, including PPM, Scrap Rate, First Time Quality (FTQ), and Warranty Returns, and implement improvement actions.
  • Coordinate supplier quality activities with Supplier Quality Engineers (SQE), including audits, development, and performance monitoring.
  • Lead quality improvement projects to reduce Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and enhance process excellence.
  • Prepare and present quality performance reports to management and customers, communicating status, risks, and initiatives clearly.
  • Foster a culture of quality, teamwork, and accountability across QA engineers and cross-functional teams.
