About The Position

The QA Lead is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing test automation frameworks while leading a team of automation testers. This role involves identifying automation opportunities, collaborating with developers, and ensuring the quality of software applications through automated testing processes. The QA Lead oversees the overall test automation strategy for projects, ensuring efficient and effective testing practices.

Responsibilities

  • Designing and building robust automation frameworks to streamline test execution and maintenance.
  • Managing a team of QA automation engineers, assigning tasks, providing guidance, mentoring junior members, and ensuring team efficiency.
  • Defining automation test strategies, identifying areas suitable for automation, creating test plans, and estimating automation efforts.
  • Developing and reviewing automated test cases based on functional requirements, user stories, and business needs.
  • Overseeing the execution of automated tests, monitoring test results, identifying defects, and generating detailed test reports.
  • Tracking and managing identified defects, collaborating with developers to prioritize and resolve issues.
  • Communicating automation progress, risks, and findings to project stakeholders including product owners, developers, and management.
  • Working closely with manual testers to identify areas for automation and ensure smooth integration between manual and automated testing.
  • Identifying opportunities to optimize automation processes, improve test coverage, and maintain the automation framework.
  • Staying updated on the latest automation tools, technologies, and industry trends to ensure the team is using the most effective automation solutions.
