About The Position

Responsibilities Perform first-piece and in-process inspections of custom labels and pressure-sensitive label stock to ensure they meet customer and internal specifications. Inspect, test, and measure materials and products using tools such as rulers, calipers, or gauges to verify dimensions and quality. Check print quality, color, registration, die cutting, perforations, unwind direction, and overall appearance of labels. Compare colors, shapes, textures, and grades to approved samples or color charts to confirm conformance to standards. Mark items with acceptance/rejection status and follow procedures to reject or discard products that do not meet specifications. Collect samples for testing and document all inspection and test results clearly and accurately. Operate inspection and testing equipment safely and follow all company safety rules. Work closely with production staff to communicate quality issues and help maintain smooth production flow. 2nd Shift Hours: Monday - Thursday, 3:10pm - 1:40am

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Up to 2 years of quality control experience in a manufacturing or printing environment preferred.
  • Ability to use dimensional measuring tools (such as rulers, calipers, and gauges) and perform basic tests used in the printing industry.
  • Strong ability to visually inspect color, unwind direction, die cuts, perforations, and overall print quality.
  • Able to read and understand job packets, blueprints, data, manuals, and other documents related to specifications and inspection procedures.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy when inspecting product and recording results.
  • Comfortable standing and walking in a production environment and lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • Required vision includes close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
