Requirements

High School Diploma
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows software such as Microsoft Office Suite required
Good written and oral communication skills required
Good problem solving capabilities desired
Must be able to work independently, efficiently and be self-motivated and detail oriented
Must be willing to work OT and weekends as required

Nice To Haves

Experience in a manufacturing/steel fabrication environment preferred
Working knowledge of arc welding processes for carbon, stainless and alloy metals preferred
Experience with liquid and powder type coatings preferred
Ability to read tape measures, and measuring tools (caliper, micrometers) preferred
Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints desired

Responsibilities

Assist in maintaining and developing the inspection program
Perform incoming material inspections
Perform in-process inspections
Perform final inspections
Perform outgoing material inspections
Perform Visual Inspection of welded joints on Victaulic product (weld size, bead formation, weld penetration) of work in progress and of completed units for compliance
Document all inspections either by proper reporting or inspection logs
Responsible for supporting calibration of all inspection instruments and gauges and updating records
Review material test reports (MTR) as required
Assist with assembling QC documentation for customers
Communicate and interact with shift supervisors, operations manager, engineering and other quality personnel about quality related issues
