As part of the Kito Crosby team, you will be supporting channel partners and end users around the world using Kito Crosby products in mission critical applications ranging from development of renewable power, space exploration, national defense, manufacturing and infrastructure development. Job Summary: Perform all level inspections, working to prescribed tolerances, to check and approve for quality, raw materials, parts in process, paintings and coatings, heat treating (verify Brinell hardness), components, sub-assemblies, final assemblies, tooling, returned items, and parts and sub-assemblies received from subcontractors and suppliers, to meet Company standards and customer satisfaction. Inspect and certify welds following supervisor's guidelines and company inspection procedures. Use precision measuring instruments. Provide inspection reports and maintain required inspection records. Inspect per receiving inspection procedures for N.D.T. and receiving dock inspection. Must have and maintain a current AWS-CWI certification.

Requirements

  • Must operate Mag, UT equipment, and overhead hoists.
  • Must be able to pass eye exam.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Magnetic particle inspection in a machine shop (Preferred)
  • Ability to operate Jib cranes handling large parts safely.
  • Magnetic particle inspection certified to level I (Preferred)
  • Vocational School (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct mechanical inspections on raw materials, incoming parts, and subassemblies from suppliers and subcontractors, first-run, random and final inspection working to prescribed tolerances.
  • Make visual and dimensional checks of raw materials, forgings, machined and fabricated parts, components, sub-assemblies, paintings and coatings, heat treating, final assemblies, tooling and returned items to assure quality production.
  • Perform in-process inspection on the paint line and the galvanizing department. Perform Magnetic Particle, dye penetrant, and ultrasonic inspections on castings, forgings, and weldments for receiving inspection and work in progress.
  • Confer with QA Manager or Supervisor/Assistant Supervisor on rejects, determining the need for rework of parts or components and other problems detected through inspection.
  • Use precision measuring instruments, including micrometers, scales, calipers, and pertinent gages.
  • Provide inspection reports and maintain required inspection records.
  • May conduct inspection of items at outside vendors regarding quality of processed or purchased items.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of receiving dock inventory.
  • Inspect final assemblies for shipment.
