About The Position

General Description: Responsible for testing Android applications to ensure quality, performance, usability, and lab conformance. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in Android application testing or mobile QA.
  • Strong knowledge of Android OS, device fragmentation, and app lifecycle.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Appium, Espresso).
  • Proficiency with debugging tools such as ADB and Logcat.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and Agile methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Experience in testing Android applications to ensure quality, performance, usability, and lab conformance. Executes manual and automated test cases, validates compliance with lab standards, identifies and documents defects, and collaborates with developers to resolve issues across devices and Android OS versions.: 1+ years (Preferred)
  • Bachelor of Science in related engineering major (EE, CE, etc.)
  • Chicago, IL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Ensure applications meet internal lab conformance standards and testing requirements.
  • Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, document, track, and verify defects through resolution.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and support issue triage discussions.
  • Maintain detailed test documentation, reports, and compliance records.
  • Configure and maintain test devices and lab environments.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and improve product quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks.
