The Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer leads quality improvement initiatives and enhances business processes to optimize production efficiency. This role requires advanced analytical skills and the ability to drive product reliability and performance. The QA Engineer will proactively identify potential quality issues and implement solutions, ensuring compliance with Company and industry standards. This position is on-site at our facility located in Batavia, OH.

  • Lead quality assurance efforts for specific projects, ensuring that all quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify and recommend improvements for existing products and processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement quality assurance programs and projects
  • Ensure comprehensive compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in preparation for and execution of customer and regulatory audits, ensuring all documentation and processes meet required standards
  • Oversee the development and execution of Corrective Actions and Nonconformance Reports, ensuring timely resolution
  • Provide quality assurance guidance to inspectors, engineers, and shop personnel
  • Perform vendor audits as lead auditor
  • Manage vendor quality assurance processes, including auditing, vendor surveillance, and document submittal review
  • Create and review complex documentation, including final document packages, commercial-grade dedication packages, and customer submittals
  • Perform inspections in manufacturing and receiving areas when required
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Engineer role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
  • Preferably qualifications as a lead auditor per NQA-1
  • The ability to read industry codes and standards
  • The ability to lead projects and initiatives, and work collaboratively across teams
  • Strong attention to detail is required and an understanding of fabrication processes (including some of the following: welding, cutting, electrical, HVAC, testing, and vendor oversight) is preferred
  • Preferably a certified weld inspector qualification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems
