As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer at Alcumus, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our SaaS solutions. Please note - experience in Automation using Playwright or Cypress is essential for this role.

  • Collaborate with the development, products, and scrum teams to understand project requirements, define test strategies, and develop comprehensive test plans.
  • Design, document, and maintain detailed test cases and test scenarios to validate functionality, customizations, and integrations.
  • Perform thorough manual testing of applications, identifying and documenting defects, and working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks to improve testing efficiency, coverage, and repeatability.
  • Design and execute tests to validate APIs, data flows, and system integrations, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security of data across services and environments.
  • Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure rapid and reliable feedback on code quality.
  • Evaluate the performance and scalability of applications, identify potential bottlenecks, and recommend optimizations to improve performance.
  • Coordinate and conduct UAT sessions with business stakeholders to validate that the solutions meet their needs and expectations.
  • Track, manage, and report defects using a defect tracking system, ensuring that all issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features, best practices, and industry trends to continuously enhance testing processes and methodologies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of high-quality Salesforce solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test cases, test results, and defects to ensure transparency and traceability.
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to Salesforce implementations and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance the overall testing capability of the team.
  • Set up and manage test environments, including configuring Salesforce sandboxes and ensuring data integrity.
  • Generate and distribute test execution status reports, highlighting key metrics, test coverage, and defect trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in software testing, with at least 2 years focused on Automation.
  • Proficiency in automating applications, preferably with Playwright / Cypress and CI/CD Integration.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management systems, such as TestRail, JIRA.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and participating in Agile development teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capability to work effectively in a team environment.
