Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Medical Visualization team in Naples, Florida is responsible for testing and creating quality assurance automations of interactive applications using emerging technologies for the purpose of educating and assisting surgeons, as well as visually communicating the science behind the medical technology created at Arthrex. We are searching for an intern pursuing a degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Interactive Media to support the Medical Visualization team. A successful candidate will assist in the development of applications for marketing, upcoming products, and medical education. The individual will follow standards and guidelines for consistent corporate identity and will take initiative to collaborate with team members effectively and follow pre-established process flows. This internship offers flexible start dates, with options to begin in either the spring (January-April) or summer (May-August). Spring interns may work a minimum of 20 hours per week, while summer interns are expected to work 40 hours per week.

  • Assist in the development of unit, runtime and behavioral tests.
  • Setup automated software QA inspection systems and build systems.
  • Manage and perform automated and manual testing of software.
  • Test new technology and alternative solutions to existing problems.
  • Setup test environments and processes.
  • Document QA improvements, processes, tooling and report issues to Engineers.
  • Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Interactive Media, Computer Science, Engineering or 3D Graphics.
  • A college senior, graduate student or recent graduate required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
  • Proficiency with real-time engines (e.g., Unreal, Unity) required.
  • Knowledge of two or more of the following preferred: Maya, Visual Studio, Omniverse, Rider, Pixyz, 3ds Max.
  • Programming, Testing, Automation, Scripting, 3D Math, 3D Graphics, QA, DevOps and Build Automation.
  • Be able to follow written and verbal direction.
