About The Position

As a QA Engineer III you will work with other developers on your team to ensure outcomes reach quality goals. Guided by Riot's Test Policies and the product's test strategy, you will ensure the execution of quality activities at every stage of the software development lifecycle. You will work with other Quality Leads to arrive at more efficient solutions to everyday problems, while improving delivery and the overall quality of the product. You will report into a QA Manager. This role will be the lead of an area that has multiple teams underneath it. In this sense this role will lead, but not manage Quality Engineers on the teams within the area.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of professional embedded Quality Assurance experience, including leading other QA team members.
  • Experience designing and executing test plans.
  • Experience managing components of a defect database.
  • Experience tasking remote testers and providing feedback on effectiveness.
  • Experience working on a product development team.
  • Experience creating custom reports on test coverage, defect data, and risk.
  • Experience using creative problem solving to improve processes.

  • Passion for Fighting Games and the FGC.
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine tools.
  • Development experience with Console and PC.
  • ISTQB Foundation Level.
  • ISTQB Agile Tester or ICAgile Agile Testing (ICP-TST).
  • ISTQB Expert Level.
  • ISTQB Advanced Test Manager.
  • ICAgile Test Expert (ICE-AT).

Responsibilities

  • Create, manage, and operate the overall area test plan.
  • Manage and evaluate testing efficiency and effectiveness within your area.
  • Establish test strategies and processes to apply to your area's operations, often driving them through other QA team members.
  • Improve on methods of test execution at the area level.
  • Collaborate with different disciplines in order to understand their goals and incorporate them into decisions that improve quality.
  • Guide and monitor all testing done for the area.
  • Provide tasking to and collaborate with external testing vendors.
  • Work the QA members of your team to ensure risks are identified, analyzed, and escalated.
  • Analyze and report on the product's quality status to the area's leadership team.
  • Hold the team accountable to meeting quality standards.
