As a QA Engineer I, you’ll be responsible for executing foundational quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy and reliability of martech deliverables, including emails, websites, marketing automations, and digital campaigns. Nice To Haves

  • Experience: 1–2 years in QA or related roles, with exposure to manual testing for digital marketing campaigns, automations, or websites.
  • Marketing Technology Skills: Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (especially Email Studio, Journey Builder, or Automation Studio) is strongly preferred.
  • Automation Awareness: Experience testing marketing automations, triggers, or dynamic content across platforms like SFMC, HubSpot, or Adobe Campaign is a plus.
  • Technical Understanding: Ability to interpret test plans and technical specs; familiarity with campaign logic and segmentation a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong attention to detail and critical thinking, with a proactive approach to identifying and solving problems.
  • Agile & Tools: Basic understanding of Agile workflows (Scrum or Kanban); familiarity with CICD, test case management tools, or ticketing systems (e.g., Jira) is helpful.
  • Communication: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with a team-first mindset and the ability to learn and adapt quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Manual Testing: Perform detailed manual testing of emails, landing pages, automation workflows, and other martech deliverables to confirm functionality, accuracy, and adherence to requirements.
  • Automation Support: Collaborate with QA and development teams to validate marketing automations and ensure logic and triggers execute as intended across platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Defect Identification & Reporting: Document and track issues with clarity and precision, collaborating with developers and campaign managers to ensure timely resolution.
  • Documentation Review: Validate deliverables against project specs, ensuring campaign logic, targeting, and personalization align with documentation.
  • Process Adherence: Follow established QA methodologies and contribute to process improvements as automation testing capabilities expand.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams, including developers, strategists, and campaign managers, to understand timelines, workflows, and campaign logic.
