Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Strong SQL skillset is a must, including the ability to write queries and create test scripts for data validation.
  • Solid understanding of software QA standards, functional testing methodologies, and quality best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, with strong active listening and the capability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills to identify defects, assess test coverage, and detect requirement gaps.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and transform them into clear test specifications, test plans, and detailed test scenarios.
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to produce thorough test cases, documentation, and release notes.
  • Ability to balance independent work with team collaboration while meeting deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with structured delivery processes and full software development lifecycle.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Experience testing web, desktop, and mobile applications built on technologies such as Java, Delphi, .NET, and Objective‑C in Windows, Linux, and iOS environments.
  • Exposure to applications using diverse databases for data storage and retrieval.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience writing and executing manual test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
  • Basic understanding of where test automation is beneficial, including its appropriate use and ongoing maintenance considerations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform manual functional, regression, and integration testing on new or updated software applications to verify that functionality aligns with requirements and established quality standards.
  • Develop, revise, and validate test plans, test cases, and test procedures to support defect identification, environment preparation, and evaluation of new product features.
  • Build, execute, and maintain a comprehensive test case library with strong requirements coverage, minimal redundancy, and effective positive/negative testing across releases.
  • Participate in product design and requirements reviews, providing input on functional requirements, usability, and testing impact.
  • Identify, document, track, and communicate defects clearly and concisely, including gaps in requirements or opportunities for functionality improvements.
  • Review and/or prepare technical and end‑user documentation to ensure clarity, accuracy, and completeness.
  • Provide task estimates and reliably meet delivery timelines for assigned testing activities.
  • Participate in a rotational on‑call schedule, which may require occasional availability outside standard business hours.
