About The Position

Arthrex Manufacturing, located in Pendleton (South Carolina), manufactures and assembles orthopedic medical devices. The Biological Safety Lab is part of the Quality Assurance department and is responsible for Cleanroom and product monitoring for South Carolina facility. We are searching for an Intern to support the Biological Safety Lab with 2 major projects. The individual would assist in Cleanroom requalification activities and a disinfectant efficacy study. The individual will perform various routine test methods (HEPA testing, Environmental Monitoring, etc.) and will be detailed oriented in documentation. The individual should be able to work in a cooperative manner with production, facilities, and fellow BSL employees. Ideal candidates would have effective communication skills, technical writing skills, and meticulous documentation practices. This internship will run from May 2026 – August 2026. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 30-40 hours per week at our Pendleton, SC facility.

Requirements

• Progress towards a college degree in Biology or Microbiology required. (Recent graduates must be within six months of their graduation date to qualify.)
• Basic to intermediate computer skills.
• Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Environmental Monitoring System Maintenance.
