NYC Department of Finance (DOF) is responsible for administering the tax revenue laws of the city fairly, efficiently, and transparently to instill public confidence and encourage compliance while providing exceptional customer service. DOF’s Finance Information Technology (FIT) Division designs, builds, and supports all facets of DOF’s computer systems, including hardware, software, applications, infrastructure, telephone, and data security. FIT delivers and administers tax-related payment programs for the City of New York by providing the information technology solutions needed to achieve its mission of collecting revenue while ensuring an efficient and improved customer experience. FIT is also responsible for the systems and websites which enable citywide payments, land records, property assessment, parking adjudications, customer service, and the Sheriff’s public safety work. FIT is seeking a QA Automation Lead to drive the creation of enterprise strategy for test automation and quality management framework. As a key member of the DOF's Solutions Delivery Office, the QA Automation Lead will be the go-to advocate for test automation across the agency overseeing the development, maintenance, and execution of quality assurance initiatives, including test cases, test scripts, test plans, status reports, traceability matrices, defect analysis, and testing outcomes. Their expertise will support a diverse array of software, from financial systems to AI-powered customer service solutions. This leadership role will be instrumental in ensuring consistent quality assurance and reliable results across all product initiatives, meeting the operational and customer service demands of the DOF while maintaining system infrastructure, data integrity, performance, and availability Reporting to the Director of Automated Testing & Quality Assurance, the QA Automation Lead's responsibilities and duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
