QA Automation Engr

As our QA Automation Engineer, you will be an integral part of the design and implementation of Information Technology oriented business solutions. This position plays a crucial role in assisting the delivery of automated testing services that support IT objectives. You will be responsible for identifying and adopting new testing methodologies, best practices, and tools to enhance test coverage while significantly reducing the need for repetitive functional testing. This role requires some in-person work weekly in Omaha, Nebraska, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with colleagues and contractors. In this position, you will create automated test components and suites using Java and keyword-based test frameworks to minimize repetitive testing. You will utilize provided tool sets to develop automated test scripts for testing web UI, mobile applications, APIs, and backend systems. Ensuring that test suites and test cases align with software development standards is essential, and you will manage code in version control tools while performing code reviews to enhance automation competency across the team. You will also be responsible for ensuring that software development standards, policies, and documented requirements are met by generating traceability matrices and reports. Conducting defect management and collaborating with technical and business teams to resolve functional and non-functional issues will be part of your daily tasks, ensuring the quality of deliverables. Additionally, you will assist in designing system integration, regression, and UAT testing solutions based on business and functional requirements, adhering to Adaptive/Responsive development standards. Your recommendations on automation tools based on industry standards will help minimize defects and improve application stability. You must be able to attend face-to-face meetings on short notice and work effectively in a collaborative environment.
