About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled QA and Certification Manager (m/f/d) to lead the design and implementation of the quality, credentialing, and certification framework for the EIT RawMaterials Education portfolio. This is a role within the Education Team, responsible for ensuring that all Academy programs meet the highest standards of educational quality, compliance, and recognition across Europe. As the Work Package Lead for Quality and Credentials within the EU Raw Materials Academy and EU Advanced Materials Academy, you will build, maintain and oversee trustworthy systems for programme quality, external recognition, and learner credentialing. You will align to European frameworks, national regulatory requirements, and international quality standards.

Requirements

  • A quality-focused education professional with a strong background in quality assurance, certification, and credentialing within higher education or professional training.
  • Expertise in international and European QA, certification, and credentialing systems such as ESG, EQAVET, and EQF.
  • Experience designing, implementing, or auditing QA processes for learning programs.
  • Strong grasp of EU education regulatory landscape (GDPR, Accessibility, AI Act).
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining excellence in educational delivery.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German fluency is an asset.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in raw materials, advanced materials, circular economy, or sustainability education.
  • Familiarity with EU-funded project management and audit processes.
  • Hands-on experience issuing micro-credentials, digital badges, or interoperable credential systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a comprehensive quality assurance system for all Academy training programs.
  • Align internal processes with European frameworks (e.g., ESG, EQAVET) and international standards (e.g., ISO) as necessary.
  • Lead internal audits, coordinate external evaluations, and embed continuous improvement cycles in collaboration with content developers and partners.
  • Define QA metrics and dashboards to monitor program quality.
  • Manage institutional and course-level regulation, certification and accreditation processes with external bodies.
  • Ensure all QA documentation and certification cycles (initial approval, renewal, and audit follow-up) are maintained and compliant.
  • Represent the Academies in external audits and liaise with regulatory and accrediting agencies to maintain institutional recognition.
  • Design and manage the credentialing architecture for all Academy courses.
  • Develop internal processes for issuing and verifying micro-credentials, digital badges, or certificates of completion.
  • Ensure full compliance with GDPR and related provisions.
  • Maintain auditable records, policies, and procedural documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, industry, research, and academic partners.
  • Track, evaluate, and report on quality performance indicators across all Academy programs.
