About The Position

The Quality Assurance Analyst will be responsible for the testing of software products and ensuring that the software is functioning properly. Once the testing has been completed, the QA Analyst is responsible for identifying the bugs and errors found during testing and partnering with development resources on fixes. This is achieved by gaining a comprehensive understanding of current applications and client requirements, following a structured quality program, documenting issues, and managing resolution. This position will play an integral role in the software development life cycle, ensuring that the highest quality product is being delivered to clients.

Requirements

• Expertise and demonstrated delivery of high-quality software testing process
• Familiarity with test case management software and issue tracking tools
• Experience with the Agile development process
• Detailed oriented, methodical, and organized in your thinking
• Excellent communications, both written and verbal, and able to communicate ideas concisely and clearly to others
• Understand the software development life cycle
• 3 years of working in software quality assurance or related field

Nice To Haves

• Experience using Agile, scrum methodologies preferred
• BA degree in Computer Science or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Following the company’s software system testing procedures and processes to complete performance, stability, reliability, and quality tests
• Documenting and communicating testing methods and testing results
• Presenting information to QA Lead and helping to decide if a release is “a go” or a “no go”
• Identifying and recommending usability improvements to QA Lead, product owners, product managers, and/or development resources
• Validating that software systems meet the required performance metrics
• Writing test plans and test cases based on client requirements
• Documenting bugs within the software and managing bug resolution with development resources.
