This internship supports Pacsun's Community Portal implementation, focusing on performing testing activities for the project. Under the guidance of the IT Project Management Office, the intern will assist in developing and executing test cases, collaborate on writing the test plan and assist business stakeholders during user acceptance testing. This role offers the chance to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including the implementation partner, business stakeholders, and the IT team. Interns will gain valuable experience in software development life cycles with an emphasis on testing phases. In addition, the intern will gain knowledge in business processes related to retail and apparel industry. This position is ideal for individuals enthusiastic about technology who want to learn about building web applications, testing strategy, project management and software development lifecycle methodology. The role requires on-site work three days a week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

  • Use testing techniques that include usability, functionality, acceptance, and regression testing.
  • Apply technical knowledge in testing web-based software across multiple web browsers and mobile devices on different operating systems.
  • Document the details of the bugs discovered through the testing activities.
  • Work closely with other QA, Dev, and Project management teams as well as business.
  • Develop test plans based on business and functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the functionality of the new system and write test cases.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to test cases.
  • Support the business users during user acceptance testing.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of training materials and sessions for the end users.
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Meticulous, effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of software testing and its terminologies.
  • Ability to clearly understand predefined business requirements and user stories.
  • Use of critical thinking to imagine and define possible testing scenarios and use cases.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Adapt to change easily and demonstrate ability to work in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to independently perform ad hoc testing for quick fixes and smaller changes.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with user training and support.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience with Atlassian Confluence and JIRA preferred.
