About The Position
The Pyxis Coordinator is a full-time position at Holy Cross Health, specifically designed for the evening shift. This role is crucial in overseeing the operation of all Pyxis workstations and the narcotics CII safe. The Pyxis Coordinator is responsible for directing the filling, emptying, and configuration of dispensing units, ensuring that all narcotic use is monitored and compliant with regulations. This position also involves running reports to maintain accuracy in narcotic records and completing data backups for the system. As the primary narcotics operations technician, the Pyxis Coordinator plays a vital role in training technicians and pharmacists on the operations of the CII safe, Pyxis workstations, and Pyxis PC. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Pyxis Coordinator acts as a liaison between technicians, pharmacists, and nursing staff to ensure smooth operations and address any issues that may arise with the Pyxis system. The role requires proficiency in using various equipment, including Pyxis, Pyxis Connect, and other related technologies. The position is based at Holy Cross Health, which operates two hospitals and four healthcare centers in close proximity to Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD.
