About the position
The Python Software Engineer is responsible for writing and maintaining software programs that control computer systems, including operating systems, networked systems, and database systems. This role involves creating software platforms and fine-tuning programs post-development to ensure optimal performance.
Responsibilities
- Modify existing software to correct errors and adapt it to new hardware or improve performance.
- Design and develop software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict outcomes.
- Consult with engineering staff to evaluate hardware-software interfaces and resolve customer problems.
- Advise customers on software system maintenance.
Requirements
- High School Degree and Bachelor's degree in computer science or a relevant field, or equivalent work experience required.
- 4 to 5 years of experience in software development required.
- Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle, from analysis to delivery.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and implement system changes as needed.
- Proficiency in computer development software, such as SQL, Java, J2EE, etc.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and customer service skills.
