About The Position

You will be working on a product that enhances quality processes and IT systems for internal manufacturing within a major automotive client. This role involves developing software solutions that support production control systems for various components, including exterior parts and carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFK). The focus is on continuous improvement and ensuring high production quality across multiple global locations. The product aims to evolve a fragmented application landscape into a unified, modular technical platform, leveraging cloud-based technologies and microservices architecture to adapt to future production needs and integrate new initiatives in electric mobility.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role
Strong programming skills in Python
Experience with SQL and database systems such as Oracle, PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Familiarity with embedded systems and automation technologies
Experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and container orchestration using Kubernetes
Experience in infrastructure setup, system security, backup strategies, and performance optimization
Proven expertise in interface development and system modernization projects.
Deep understanding of application and system administration, including middleware technologies like Tomcat, WebSphere, and WebLogic
Knowledge of CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions and Jenkins
Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, and Grafana
Proficient in agile methodologies and tools like Jira, Confluence, and Git
Experience with messaging systems like Kafka and communication protocols such as MQTT and HTTP
Understanding of architectural setups, system interfaces and their trade-offs
Ability to write unit tests and manage deployment pipelines
Strong communication skills for working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Self-motivated, structured, and organized with a strong willingness to learn
Ability to work independently while seeking support when needed
Proficiency in English and German is mandatory

Responsibilities

Collaborate with team members and customers in an agile environment to conceptualize and create stories
Estimate and implement backlog items, ensuring adherence to project quality standards through unit tests and code reviews
Proactively suggest technical improvements and engage in skill-building for both existing and emerging technologies
Support the Operations team with development-related tasks
Develop and maintain microservices and event-driven architectures as part of the service-oriented architecture (SOA)
Implement RESTful services for seamless integration and communication between components
Participate in the design and development of cloud-based solutions, ensuring scalability and reliability
Utilize monitoring, logging, and alerting tools to maintain system functionality and performance
Engage in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices to streamline development processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables
Assist in the integration of IoT devices and platforms to enhance data collection and analytics capabilities
