About The Position

Innova Solutions is seeking a Python Automation Engineer to join their team in New York. This permanent position focuses on developing automated tools for Equity Derivative trading applications, enhancing the QA process, and supporting the development of automated testing suites. The role requires collaboration with development and QA teams to prioritize automation efforts and provide training to team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience automating manual test cases for desktop applications.
• Strong experience in Python automation within capital markets applications.
• In-depth understanding of the equity trade lifecycle and derivatives (Bonds, Options, Futures, Swaps).
• Experience with DevOps integration tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and SonarQube.
• Hands-on development experience with UFT or other UI/front-end test automation tools.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, VBScript, and SQL.
• Experience with tools like JIRA, HP ALM, and QTest.
• Understanding of software testing principles and FIX protocol.

Responsibilities

• Develop automated tools for the QA team to enhance the testing process.
• Conduct functional analysis for in-house derivative products.
• Create and execute test plans and testing strategies.
• Analyze application requirements and design test scenarios and UAT test cases.
• Provide automation support and training to team members.
• Work independently with minimal direction to meet deliverables.
• Persuade and influence stakeholders at all levels to ensure project success.
• Adapt quickly to changes and advocate for innovative solutions.
