About The Position

Platform Science is looking for a data-driven, empathetic, and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our People Experience (PX) team. You will own the day-to-day administration of our comprehensive benefits portfolio and play a key role in the final integration phases of our recent acquisition. You will be the primary point of contact for employees across multiple states, ensuring our benefits strategy remains a competitive advantage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years focused heavily on benefits administration.
  • Advanced proficiency in ADP Workforce Now
  • High proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) for data reconciliation
  • Google Suite proficiency
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive employee matters with extreme confidentiality and a high degree of empathy.
  • Working knowledge of ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, and multi-state labor laws (specifically CA, TX, and MN).

Responsibilities

  • Open Enrollment: Lead the annual Open Enrollment cycle, including plan audits, system configuration in ADP, and developing the communication strategy.
  • Daily Administration: Manage the Benefits Intranet, annual benefits calendar, handle ad-hoc internal inquiries, and act as the primary liaison with the Benefits Advocate Team.
  • Retirement & Wealth: Administer the 401(k) plan, including employee education and supporting annual non-discrimination testing.
  • Canadian Support: Assist with managing the Canadian Benefits portal and act as a primary liaison with the Canadian Benefits broker.
  • Compliance Lead: Serve as the Subject Matter Expert for FMLA, CFRA (CA), and Minnesota Paid Family Leave.
  • Accommodations: Manage the ADA interactive process for workplace accommodations with a high degree of empathy.
  • Stakeholder Partnership: Partner with our 3rd party leave of absence administrator and collaborate with payroll to ensure business continuity.
  • Training: Provide leave of absence training to Employees and Managers.
  • Filings: Manage annual ACA reporting and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) disclosure filings. Oversee the distribution of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) and Wrap Summary Plan Descriptions (SDPs). Ensure all qualifying COBRA event notices are issued in accordance with ERISA guidelines.
  • Risk Management: Act as the primary point of contact for Workers’ Compensation, managing all cases from initiation to closure.
  • Audit: Provide support for site OSHA reporting requirements and ensure state compliance posters are up to date.
  • General Compliance: Ensure new hire onboarding paperwork is up to date and compliant with state benefit disclosures. Assist with state reporting requirements for new hire and terminations, filing unemployment claims and Department of Defense requests.
  • Wellness: Design and drive wellness initiatives, mental health awareness, and financial wellness programs to increase plan utilization.
  • Onsite Support: Assist with reviewing and responding to onsite mail.
  • Engagement: Assist with coordinating community “day of service” opportunities for employees. Support our employee engagement cohort and collaborate on engagement initiatives.
