About The Position

Collins Aerospace, Digital Technology, is hiring a Systems Administrator for our Secure Labs support team. Qualified candidates should have a passion for technology and be excited about finding new ways to add value to our business. This position is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. A relocation package is available if needed. What YOU will do: You will be a subject matter expert (SME) on the team in one or more of the following technologies: You will regularly work with other members of the organization as part of a cross functional team and/or leads cross-functional initiatives. You will build strong relationships with customers and peers. You will assist in developing derived technical and security requirements to support 800-53 RMF standards Ensures use cases, user profiles, workflow, and requirements are accurate and complete. You will help to create a solution matrix w/ cost & schedule based on the project requirements. You will work to review and define technology standards. You will assist in driving escalations to resolution. You will participate in improvement of internal processes (LEAN/ACE/CORE) You will use your advected knowledge to facilitate resolution of new and existing complex solutions. You will advise on the technical solutions to support the projects you are assigned. You will be a key focal contact for a med/large infrastructure teams on the initiatives they are assigned. Provide SME support for the Tier1 and Tier2 infrastructure teams. What YOU will Learn: You will foster relationships with your DT peers across the domestic US. You will be asked to coach your peers based on their technical development plans. You will learn how to apply your knowledge and personal skills to shape projects that have a loose set of requirements.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Must have a DoD Secret Security clearance prior to start date.
  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience with Networking.
  • Experience with Desktop Support, Server Administration, and Virtualization Technologies (VM Ware, etc.)
  • Experience as a Linux Systems Administration .
  • Experience with Compliance frameworks (RMF, DFARS).
  • Virtualization (VCF, Horizon, VSAN).
  • Servers (Windows OS and ESXi).
  • Clients (Windows 11, RHEL, ubuntu).
  • Configuration Management (PDQ, SCCM/MECM).
  • Scripting (Powershell, Bash, Ansible).
  • Networking (Cisco (IOS, Nexus, Type1 Hapie).
  • Storage (VSAN, Synology).
